The Montego Bay Sports Complex, which boasts the only synthetic track in western Jamaica, remains under repair. For the sixth consecutive year, the meet will be held outside of western Jamaica, a situation that has left Harvey feeling disappointed. He expressed concern that fans in the region are missing out on the opportunity to witness some of the best track and field talents in action.
