KINGSTON, Jamaica – In a vibrant launch event at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, Regency Petroleum Limited (RPL) unveiled a groundbreaking solution for pothole repairs: the Quality Pavement Repair (QPR) cold mix asphalt. This innovative product promises to change the game for road maintenance in Jamaica, a country often plagued by potholes that seem to reappear almost as quickly as they are filled.
“Every Jamaican knows the frustration of a road repaired this year and riddled with potholes the next,” said RPL’s CEO, Andrew Williams, addressing an audience that included government ministers, contractors, and industry leaders. RPL claims that QPR could save up to 40% in costs compared to traditional paving methods. This figure is particularly significant for a nation where road maintenance often strains public resources. The target audience for this product includes government agencies, road maintenance contractors, and even homeowners looking to repair their driveways.
“Quality pavement repair is a ready-to-use asphalt product developed by D&O Technologies LLC in the United States,” explained RPL in a media release. “Unlike conventional hot-mix asphalt, QPR can be applied in wet or dry conditions, in almost any temperature, and allows roads to reopen to traffic immediately after compaction.” This means no more waiting days for repairs to set!
Hands-On Demonstration
After the formal presentations, attendees were treated to a live demonstration of QPR in action. Andrew Williams and Maximiliano Dacharry Jr., Business Development Manager at D&O Technologies, showcased the product’s ease of application directly on a pothole surface. Maximiliano Dacharry emphasized the local impact of this partnership. “It requires limited equipment and manpower, and most importantly, roads can be opened to traffic almost immediately after installation,” he said, reinforcing the product’s practicality for Jamaican conditions.

The Consul General of Jamaica for the Southern United States, Oliver Mair, praised the initiative as “a bold and visionary act of nation-building.” He noted that QPR’s proven track record in North America makes it a reliable solution ready to deliver results.
